I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the way my recent apartment application was handled and the conflicting information I received throughout the screening process.
Before submitting my application, I specifically asked the leasing agent at the Layton office whether the property worked with applicants who had a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I was informed that I could apply as long as I provided documentation regarding my bankruptcy discharge. I understood that providing this documentation did not guarantee approval, but I wanted to be completely transparent about my financial history before paying the application and administrative fees.
I submitted all requested documentation and paid approximately 275 in application-related fees. During the screening process, I was informed that the only remaining item was rental verification. I contacted my current landlord, who confirmed that the property had reac
